Sports Star Viral Video Helps Nike Fight Aids

Sports product giant Nike has launched a viral film for its campaign to combat Aids in Africa. It features sport stars Andrei Arshavin, Kobe Bryant and Maria Sharapova.

The video, created by Arnold Worldwide, is the result of a partnership between Nike and (Red), which promotes global Aids awareness. Their campaign asks fans to buy a pair of laces to support Aids funding in Africa. It gets the message across by showing sports stars wearing Nike laces (Red) on their feet, hands and heads to encourage fans across the globe to 'Lace Up, Save Lives'.

Their viral video is also displayed on the NikeFootball site. Other sport professionals include footballers Clint Dempsey, Denilson, Marco Materazzi, Javier Mascherano and Fabio Cannavaro.

Profits are split between the Global Fund to Fight Aids, the Tuberculosis & Malaria Fund as well as other football-based projects that provide education and understanding around HIV/Aids prevention.
