Revamped Advertising Strategy in Store for Moneysupermarket

The Moneysupermarket.com website is set to revamp its advertising strategy with the aim of becoming the most-visited price comparison service in the UK. It has confirmed reports earlier this week that it's in the middle of a creative pitch and will appoint an agency to create its new ad strategy in February. Existing advertising will run for the next few months, with new creative to be introduced later this year.

A Moneysupermarket spokeswoman said, "As a growing company in a competitive market, we're determined to drive the category forward and build on our market-leading position as Britain's favourite comparison site. With this in mind, we've decided to carry out an advertising review to ensure we have the strongest agency partner alongside us."

Nielsen has reported that Moneysupermarket had 2.5m unique users in November 2009, growing to 2.9m in November 2010. Their latest trading statement, released earlier this week, demonstrated favourable 2010 revenues at nearly £149m. Their latest plans will focus on increasing their market share even further.
