Reuters Unveils Revamped Website
The well established news website Reuters has recently undergone a revamp, designed to provide more streamlined and intelligent content to business professionals. The new portal, named Thomson Reuters, is the first step in a strategy which features redesigned websites in the UK, India, Japan and China, as well as the 13 additional local language markets.
The revamp saw an intensive revision of the site's strategic design and user experience. New features include enhanced multimedia capabilities, personalisation and data presentation. Users can create portfolios, follow topics, customise tracking and view market data based on relevant topic matter. The site also features a contextual targeting advertising platform, which introduces point-of-entry packages to target visitors from search engines.
Their Head of Consumer Publishing, Alisa Bowen, commented, "The creation of Thomson Reuters gave us an opportunity to re-evaluate the key areas of focus for Reuters.com. Leveraging professional assets from across the company, the redesign has allowed Reuters.com to evolve into a platform that focuses on building deep business knowledge around key topic areas."
