Publisher NatMag Undergoes Platform Integration with Parent Company Hearst
Major publisher NatMag is set to migrate its magazine websites to its US parent company Hearst's platform, named Magnus. This will allow users to move seamlessly from site to site without re-registering and will provide better search capabilities and photo galleries.
The newly integrated platform is aimed at sharing development and best practice methods across their online titles. It will also be able to support a larger range of rich-media formats.
Simon Horne, NatMag General Manager and Finance Director, has said he hopes this change to an in-house platform will aid the creation of revenue streams and attract new advertisers.
Natmag's magazine sites include harpersbazaar.com and menshealth.co.uk, which will undergo a revamp as part of the transition to Magnus.
To date, their sites Youandyourwedding.co.uk, company.co.uk, handbag.com and menshealth.co.uk have made the platform shift. A further five titles will migrate over the next year - cosmopolitan.co.uk, harpersbazaar.co.uk, esquire.co.uk and babyexpert.com and allaboutyou.com.
