On-Demand Streaming Content Sees Absolute Rise in Popularity
According to their latest report, the Absolute Radio Network has grown in online popularity, with 11m hours of on-demand streaming content accessed by listeners in July. This is a 31% increase from June.
This rise in user figures covers all online audio clips, video, podcasts and live sessions available on both Absolute Radio and third-party sites. In total, the 8.9m hours of live audio streamed in July is up 35% from 6.6m in June and nearly 3m on-demand hours were accessed using IP-connected devices, a rise of 14% from June. Absolute Radio also saw 3,854,000 podcast downloads in July, a record number to date.
The Absolute Radio Network encompasses Absolute Radio, Absolute Classic Rock, Absolute 80s, Absolute Radio 90s and Dabbl. Users are now able to easily interact with the shows by sending in opinions and ideas for discussion through an iPhone application.
