L'Oréal Promotes Its Fragrance Brands with Christmas Digital Campaign on YouTube
As its first stride into using digital marketing to promote its fragrances brands, L'Oréal is tomorrow launching the first of five pan-European Christmas campaigns on YouTube.
The campaigns will begin on the 18 December to promote the Armani, Cacharel, Diesel, Lancôme, Ralph Lauren and Yves Saint Laurent perfume brands.
The promotion will run for five days - on each day a new fragrance brand will market their own campaign message on YouTube's home page in the UK, France, Italy, Germany and Spain.
The move follows the formulation of a partnership earlier this year between L'Oréal and Google aimed at boosting L'Oréal's digital strategy. The "joint business plan" targets four key areas for development, one of which includes increasing its online video.
Leader of FCMG at Google UK, Shuvo Saha, commented, "By choosing YouTube during this critical period in the run up to Christmas to promote five campaigns, over five consecutive days in five different countries, L'Oréal Luxury is investing in the power, reach and effectiveness of online video."
L'Oréal is working with media agency ZenithOptimedia and creative agency Fred & Farid media to develop the campaign.
