Karaoki Brand Lucky Voice to Unveil Cross Platform Integration
For the launch of a major upgrade to its system, Karaoke brand is Lucky Voice is moving to a cross platform strategy by integrating its bars and online subscription service.
The company is migrating to a cloud-based system, which includes a dynamic revamp of the look and feel of its service, the transferral of content such as playlists and personalisation between platforms and the release of its data via an API for use by developers and brands.
Lucky Voice, launched in 2005, currently has five bars and an online subscription service that allows access to Lucky Voice at home via computer and iPad. The overhaul will now bridge the gap between the two parts of their business by allowing users to create a playlist via mobile and desktop that can be uploaded at the location.
Managing Director Nick Thistleton explained that the integration of their online and offline businesses will boost cross promotion: "The reach of the bars is small compared to what it could be online but the bars are currently the most significant part of the business."
The company is also considering making use of connected TVs. Thistleton added: "In some ways the web has always been our precursor to internet TV, we launched on the web in the knowledge that web connected TVs were coming. You can currently plug your laptop into a TV but it isn't the same as pressing a button and there it is, TV is the real gateway into the home for us."
