Ikea Appoints OgilvyOne to Enhance their Retail Customer Experience

Following a highly competitive three-way pitch, leading marketing agency OgilvyOne has won the global Ikea account - their first remit is to oversee an international consulting project.

OgilvyOne will work collaboratively with Ikea Systems B.V, the franchisor and Ikea concept owner, to develop a strategy that best promote the ways that consumers can make purchases from the Ikea brand both in-store and at their website.

Their marketing brief centres on putting users "in control" while shopping both online and offline - to this end, OgilvyOne is currently undertaking an extensive review of the Ikea customer journey to gain a thorough understanding of the customer experience.

After getting the ball rolling with their initial consulting assignment, OgilvyOne will move forward to develop and implement a communications strategy that will effectively raise awareness of the ways that people can shop at Ikea and the various services available to them.
