Google and MySpace Finalise Extended Ad Deal
In a renewal of their deal which expired in June, MySpace and Google have now agreed on a continued partnership that will extend display their formats. It will include search ads, DoubleClick Ad Exchange, Google power search and full display ad formats through the Google Display ad network.
VP of Global Media and Platforms at Google, Henrique de Castro, commented, "We're excited to deepen our partnership with one of the largest social web properties in the world and that MySpace has chosen our display advertising solution to increase its returns."
Chief Revenue Officer at MySpace, Nada Stirratt, said, "We're thrilled about renewing our partnership with Google. Its best-in-class technology will continue to provide users with a robust search experience. We look forward to participating in the Google Display Network and DoubleClick Ad Exchange to increase yield across our display ad inventory."
Neither Google nor MySpace have confirmed the length of the extended partnership, and they have also not as yet announced what it is worth, although the figures are reportedly less than the original deal.
