Campaign Launched for Adoption of Made in Britain Logo
Following a major public response to the proposition, a new logo for Made in Britain products and services has been launched.
The campaign to encourage use of the logo in marketing is being led by British kitchen manufacturer Stoves, in conjunction with their PR agency Umpf.
Research earlier this year showed that 67% of Britons support a seal of approval that products were made here, half of those surveyed did not know which brands could claim they were made in Britain and a third would buy more British goods if they were easier to identify.
Chief Executive of Stoves, Denver Hewlett, commented: "We have been overwhelmed by the response to the Made in Britain campaign, with widespread interest, a mention in the House of Commons and many other UK manufacturers showing their support. There is clearly an appetite for a standard marque."
He added: "We think that this logo really captures the essence of the campaign and will proudly be displaying it on our website and marketing material and encouraging other UK manufacturers to do the same."
