AOL UK Teams Up With ITN to Boost Its Online Appeal

Internet & Media giant AOL has taken on ITN (Independent Television News) for its UK division to boost itself as a leading destination portal by providing improved online content.

AOL UK will work with ITN to create appealing video content - news, lifestyle and entertainment - for its site. There will now be a range of new video clips offered daily. These will run from 60 seconds to six minutes.

Head of AOL in Europe, Kate Burns, said, "ITN is a leading provider of a wide range of high-quality video content and this deal builds on our strategy to inform, entertain and connect with our users."

She added, "By bolstering video across the AOL UK platform, we're offering advertisers even more opportunities to reach our engaged audiences as we programme the most compelling multimedia experiences across our rich, topical and trusted content."

This move is part of an increased push by AOL UK to improve their online site offerings and bolster public appeal.
