American Express Set to Launch London Initiatives to Tie In With Olympics
To further maximise the increase in retail sales that will result from the upcoming Olympic Games and Diamond Jubilee, American Express plans to launch a range of London offers for their cardholders in 2012.
The company will roll out exclusive deals and information services that have been co-created in partnership with retailers for visitors to the capital next year.
They have also just signed a deal with Westfield to offer customers at the West and East London shopping centres "special benefits and promotions". As one of several channels they will use during 2012, American Express will promote their services extensively at these centres.
These initiatives are aimed at accelerating the company's "strong" growth in retail business over the last two years.
Vice President of Merchant Services for American Express in the UK, Mark Roper, has said that these promotional offers will help their customers "realise the potential of London".
He also explained that American Express will look to refine and increase the use of social media next year to target the "right person, at the right time with the right offer".
